Jimmy Hosking
Jimmy Hosking was one of the great 'Pirate' characters, a plumber by trade and hooker who played for the us from 1946-47 until the early 1960s.
'Capped' five times by Cornwall, in April, 1960, he became the first player to reach the 500 games mark for the club.
Off the field Jimmy 'Ock', as he was referred to, enjoyed being involved with organising various social activites, and he liked especially to perform an ambassadorial role by swapping pin badges with visiting officials and supporters.
If you look in the clubhouse on the far end wall of the 'Mavis Lawry Lounge', you will see a framed display of many of the badges that he collected over the years.
A Vice President of the club, Jimmy passed away in 1994, aged 68 years.
