The Pirates trailed 14-17 at half-time, having scored tries through skipper Henry Mander and Josh Oliver, both converted by Kelvin James. In the second half they tried to play an expansive game, but never had the same luxury as the home side who introduced fresh legs to the proceedings. Nonetheless , they still managed to conjure up the final try in the match. Ryan Stanley dummying his way to the line, his effort again converted by James. Coach Julian Mander said "We played some exceptional rugby with only fourteen men, the overall feeling being one of 'deja vu', as the side had lost to Camborne at a similar stage in last year's U15s competition." Two tries from from speedster Shaun Cowlishaw and a conversion kicked by Henry Mander gave the Pirates a slender 12-10 half-time lead, which was certainly deserved. Cowlishaw completed his hat-trick in the second half with a length of their field run, and there was a try also for Tom Cowan-Dickie, but with no fesh legs to call upon it was no surprise that Falmouth came back to sneak the win Latest News
