1969 County Championship Final played at Redruth in 1969.
One of the most memorable county matches that 'Stack' played in was the 1969 County Championship Final played at Redruth in 1969.

It was 1908 all over again - the same interest, the same enthusiasm, with 23,000 packed into the Recreation ground.

However, the opponents this time were the strong Lancashire side captained by Jim Greenwood, England's leader of the period who is also the father of Will Greenwood.

Cornwall were 9-0 up at the break, but the Lancastrians came back strongly in the second period to sneak it 11-9. There were no Cornish excuses - the better side won.
