Malcolm Oats
It was with great sadness to hear that Malcolm died this week.
A gifted all-round sportsman in his youth, excelling at both football and cricket
Many remember him as a more than useful fast bowler for his beloved Paul Cricket Club.
Malcolm also had a spell playing for the Pirates in the early seventies as a skilful centre - threequarter who notched up 77 games for the club.
Having mentioned Paul CC, for many years Malcolm gave quite outstanding support in a variety of ways. If he wasnt scoring for one or other teams, hed assist with coaching, give help to upkeep the ground, and sort out paperwork, being especially vigilant in matters financial.
